James Potter doesn't want to talk about it. ([info]jamesopotter) wrote,

It's fucking amazing how many different things you can have for breakfast all at once when you've got a house elf willing to make them all. I had bacon, sausage, kippers, a boiled egg, a fried egg, toast, some cheese thing that smelled like cat but tasted very good, oats, and some leftover chocolate cake because I'd asked them to make me one last night.

And the house elves love me because I eat it all and I say thank you and I tried to clear my own dishes the other day which had them laughing for hours. Mum and Dad were always against house elves but I think this is just another area where they may have gotten it wrong. Telly is aces.

Severus Snape.

Uncle C told me about your house this morning when I woke up. I can't say I'm sorry to hear it burnt down because from everything I knew and saw about that house it was mostly fucking miserable. Still, from having my own home burnt to the ground, I know what shit it is to see your childhood go up in smoke. I hope you were able to retrieve anything important.

Sirius.

Come see me. Come see me. Come see me. Come see me. Come see me. Come see me. Come see me. Comesee me comeseeme. comeeeeeeeee seeeeeeeee meeeeeeee.

Please. You aren't gloating about this?

It was your friends you know. Murder, arson, what else do they get up to that when death eaters do it is some sign of their horrible evilness, but when they do it is just good times?

I had a few old photos and things there still, but nothing of extreme value.

I'm not gloating. I may not like you, but in case you haven't noticed I'm not trying to make trouble for you either.

And you can't consider the Order to be my friends anymore. They aren't. If I had known they were planning it I may have even warned you.

I assume that means you live elsewhere? Good for you. That place smelled like bad memories.

I have noticed. It's a nice change I suppose.

I'm not talking about the Order. I'm talking about Black and Lupin. If this wasn't their doing I'll eat one of my cauldrons.

And yes. Agatha and I moved into our own place when we married. might not have a hundred house elves but I have a very nice job and I am in no way unable to provide for my wife.

That doesn't surprise me. I never told them about you, as much as it killed me to keep something from Sirius. And he is still my friend, but Remus is absolutely nothing to me. He never has been, even if I thought he was. S'not a good idea to get mixed up with werewolves but I found that out a little late for my own well-being.

And there's no point in getting all defensive. I didn't say you ought to have house elves or that you weren't providing. M'sure your house is very nice.

You think, Potter? I could have told you years ago that it wasn't a good idea to get mixed up with werewolves. Tell me the truth, will you? The willow incident. Lupin's idea? Or Black's? Either way, don't expect me to go easy on Black because he's your friend.

To be honest, defensiveness is habit with you.

Our house is nice. It's homey and has gardens for Agatha and workshops for my potions and plenty of bookshelves, and space.

I'm going to go over after work and see what's left. My guess is not much. Not that there was much in it to be taken, so I suppose that's one blessing.

Your sister seems to keep you well fed.

Gaius

Do you think we could go to Quality Quidditch this afternoon? Uncle Charlus doesn't have time to go along, and though I feel like a bit of a prat needing an escort, I understand. Probably best not to go out alone right now anyway without a proper wand to defend myself. I get the feeling some of my old friends want to nab me back.

Don't you dare mention my mum.

You're a werewolf. If it isn't raw meat you don't have a taste for it anyway. Your opinion is flawed.

We don't have one either since muggle stuff won't work here, but I've passed by some shops with televisions in the window and cooking programmes've been on them, and so that mixed with the food description you've got up there made me think of it.

I've been good. It's been hot as heck lately though. Thank Merlin for cooling charms, yeah?

They kept the centre nice and cook and I hadn't been able to be out till this week, but yeah, I've had to wait till the evenings to fly.

You ought to have breakfast for dinner tonight. This morning's food was so good I think I'm going to see if the elves'll make me another round.

Miss Macnair, Chocolate Cake is definitely my favorite food, followed closely by pizza at least a dozen kinds of pie. I've always been big on sweets since I was little and figured out how to climb up the counter to the cookie jar.

Oh my goodness! I adore sweets as well! Though I would not say that chocolate cake is my favourite food, but it is certainly my favourite cake! I do believe that pie is my favourite sort of food! I very much appreciate its versatility! I do not see how one can go wrong with a food that can be both a main course and a dessert!

I've had pies as appetizers too, and I bet you'd be able to fit a salad into a pie somehow. Wouldn't that be stellar? An entire meal of pies. I should write this down for Telly. I can try it for dinner the night my mum gets here.
